The open summer festival of the University of Hamburg at Von-Melle-Park
The University of Hamburg, with over 40,000 students, is one of the largest universities in Germany. Once a year, its central campus in Von-Melle-Park in the Eimsbüttel district transforms into an open festival area – the Campusfest.
The festival is explicitly intended for the entire Hamburg community. Students and staff meet citizens from the surrounding districts of Rotherbaum, Harvestehude, and Eimsbüttel. Free entry, no student ID required.
Hamburg is not only a port city but also one of Germany's largest university locations. The Campusfest showcases this side – a summer event in Hamburg that makes the university visible and has a firm place in the annual calendar in its neighborhood at Von-Melle-Park.
