About Prunksitzung CG Heilbronn
Prunksitzung CG Heilbronn — edition 2026
Program January 31, 2026
The 2026 session Prunksitzung follows the classic Rhenish-Palatinate session dramaturgy, adapted to the Heilbronn tradition. The session president opens, the Prince and Princess are welcomed, followed by a rapid succession of guard dances, stage orators, show groups, and solo performances — about three hours of program well into the night.
The Guard Dance Groups form the backbone of the evening: Mini-Kükengarde (youngest girls), Kükengarde, Juniorengarde, and the elite Prinzengarde as the highlight troupe of CG Heilbronn. Acrobatic solos by Solo Dancing Maids alternate with stage choreographies of the entire guard.
Stage Orators (Büttenredner) bring political-comedic satire to the program — municipal politics, local personalities, and current events are caricatured in rhyming speeches. The Guggenmusik D'Wefzga from Bietigheim adds a special touch with its Swabian-Alemannic sound — a bridge to the Württemberg Fastnacht tradition.

Heilbronn and Carnival
Heilbronn lies on the border between Swabian Fastnacht tradition (Schwäbisch-Alemannische Fastnacht) and Rhenish-Palatinate carnival tradition. Geographically and culturally, Heilbronn carnival is a distinct blend — and the Carneval-Gesellschaft Heilbronn e.V. (CG Heilbronn for short) is its most important club manifestation. Founded on February 12, 1956, after jointly watching a Mainz carnival session on television, the founders brought the Rhenish form of carnival to the Württemberg city: Prince and Princess, guard dancers, stage orators, Guggenmusik. For almost seventy years, CG Heilbronn has maintained this tradition and is one of the defining Fasching clubs in Northern Württemberg.
Program 2026 — Saturday, January 31 in Frankenbach
The 2026 Prunksitzung will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in the Gemeindehalle Frankenbach (Würzburger Straße 36, 74078 Heilbronn-Frankenbach). Admission: 6:01 PM, Session start: 7:01 PM — the unusual start times (with their "1"-minute) are a carnival classic and refer to the jesters' number eleven.
On the program for the 2025/2026 session:
- Prince and Princess — Prinz Toni I. ("of the dancing signals") and Prinzessin Corinna I. ("from the chicks to the fairies")
- Guard Dancers — performances by the Mini-Kükengarde, Kükengarde, Juniorengarde, and Prinzengarde with choreographed dance routines
- Solo Dancing Maids with acrobatic solos

The Carneval-Gesellschaft Heilbronn
The CG Heilbronn is not only the organizer of the Prunksitzung but also a supporter of active youth work. In the guard groups (Mini-Kükengarde for the very youngest, Kükengarde, Juniorengarde, and finally Prinzengarde), dozens of girls and young women train choreography, acrobatics, and stage presence throughout the year — a remarkable dance school with a community character. Boys and men are also active as dancers and acrobats in the show groups. The club is present on Instagram and Facebook and welcomes anyone who wants to participate or watch.
Frankenbach — The Heilbronn District as a Carnival Stage
Frankenbach has been a district of Heilbronn since 1973 — located in the north of the city area, with its own village identity, club life, and community hall. The Gemeindehalle Frankenbach is a classic multi-purpose district hall that becomes a session stage during Fasching time. Würzburger Straße 36, easily accessible from the B27 and Heilbronn main train station.
