Family festival on the Pfingstbeekpromenade of the Baltic Sea resort Sierksdorf
Sierksdorf is a Baltic Sea resort and municipality with around 1,500 inhabitants in the Ostholstein district of the state of Schleswig-Holstein, directly on the Lübecker Bucht between Neustadt in Holstein and Scharbeutz. The Pfingstbeekpromenade runs parallel to the beach and is the central meeting point in midsummer.
The Promenadenfest is all about families: XXL games on the promenade (giant Mikado, oversized Connect Four, chess), balloon artists, face painting, creative hands-on stations. Street music at various locations entertains the crowd, food stalls cover lunch and dinner. Live bands perform on a stage.
The organizer Sierksdorf-Touristik, together with the Lübecker Bucht Tourism Agency, stages the event as a relaxed family weekend. Anyone visiting the Lübecker Bucht in July has a free program item here — free admission, lots to see, lots to do.
Sierksdorf-Touristik, together with the Lübecker Bucht Tourism Agency, presents the event as a two-day family Volksfest (public festival) along the promenade. The program is spread across several locations — no central stage, but open stations.
Detailed program and set times will be published shortly before the festival on luebecker-bucht-ostsee.de.
Free admission. Food and drinks at the stalls at usual prices.
By train to Sierksdorf (RE 8 Hamburg–Lübeck–Puttgarden). Beach access and promenade reachable from the station in 10 minutes. By car via the A1 (exit Neustadt-Mitte).
Free.
