PfingsTON Festival – Best of Baltic meets PfingsTON

Pentecost on the Bay of Lübeck

Over the years, the PfingsTON Festival has become a fixed date in the event calendar of the Baltic Sea resorts in the Ostholstein district. It is organized by the Lübecker Bucht Tourism Agency – a regional marketing organization responsible for the tourist marketing of the resorts Scharbeutz, Haffkrug, Sierksdorf, and Pelzerhaken.

Two Stages, Two Locations

The program architecture is divided between two venues within walking distance: The main stage in the Scharbeutz spa park and the stage at the pier forecourt, directly on the promenade with a view of the Baltic Sea. Over the Pentecost weekend, concerts from pop, rock, soul, funk, Latin American music, and flamenco fusion will take place in parallel.

Best of Baltic – the Sustainability Concept 2026

The 2026 edition merges with the "Best of Baltic" campaign into an expanded format: Best of Baltic meets PfingsTON. At workshop stations and information booths, scientists, energy experts, and environmental organizations will provide information on the protection of the Baltic Sea – with a special focus on the Fehmarn Belt habitat off the North German coast. Concerts and environmental communication run in parallel, without overshadowing each other.

Beach Sports and Family Activities

In addition to the music program, beach soccer tournaments (youth and adult classes), water games by the DLRG (German Life Saving Association), children's activities such as face painting and making flower crowns, and free dance workshops (Discofox, Salsa, Lambada) are standard festival features. The concept explicitly targets families – beach atmosphere during the day, open-air concert in the evening.

Scharbeutz in Ostholstein

Scharbeutz, with its 12,000 inhabitants, is located between Travemünde and Sierksdorf on the Bay of Lübeck in the Ostholstein district. The seaside resort is a classic day-trip destination from Hamburg and Lübeck. Scharbeutz is directly accessible by train via the Lübeck-Puttgarden DB line.
