Friedrichstraße as a festival mile — Big Band Uckermark, Maja Catrin Fritsche, Gerd Christian and Antenne Party Tour with Tina Knop
With just under 19,000 inhabitants, Prenzlau is the largest town in the Uckermark district and one of the oldest settlements in northeastern Brandenburg. The town on the Uckersee lake is known for its imposing St. Mary's Church, the Dominican monastery, and the medieval city wall. The swans are a landmark in the townscape and on the lake — the reason for a special program tradition at the city festival, the election of the Swan Queen.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the central Friedrichstraße will be taken over as a festival mile. The program runs from 10:00 AM until late in the evening — a continuous mix of live music, dance performances, acrobatics, show stages, interactive stations for children, and regional dishes from the town's restaurants. Free admission to the entire festival mile.
On the main stage in Friedrichstraße, a 12-hour program follows one after another: 10:00 AM Big Band Uckermark to kick things off, 12:00 PM Hannes Lehmann with a singer-songwriter set, 1:00 PM Maja Catrin Fritsche, Gerd Christian, and Angelique & Kavallier as the Schlager block, 5:30 PM Künstler mit Herz feat. Fabrice (singer from „The Voice of Germany” season) as the afternoon headliner. The grand finale will be the Antenne Party Tour starting at 8:00 PM — hosted by Tina Knop (Antenne Brandenburg) and featuring pop and dance hits.
A unique program element: the election of the Swan Queen. The swans are a city landmark living on the Uckersee lake, and the election of their “Queen” is a humorous and traditional program item — as a tribute to the city and the animals. This program element will be integrated into the festival mile throughout the day; announcements will be made via loudspeakers and the host.
The city festival is free to attend. In addition to the main stage, the festival mile features other attractions: dance workshops, acrobatics shows, interactive games, and craft stalls. Antenne Brandenburg provides entertainment all day long — hosting, games, and live broadcasts. The event is designed as a large family festival, with an afternoon focus for families and an evening focus for the party tour generation.
