Pop up Comedy at Bührmann Weine — Stand-up in the Wine Courtyard

On July 3rd and 4th, 2026, the Düsseldorf-based comedy series Pop up Comedy brings its format to Moers on the Lower Rhine — specifically, to the wine courtyard of Bührmann Weine at Franz-Haniel-Straße 79. Two evenings of open-air comedy in an unusual setting: among wine racks, in the courtyard, with bistro catering. Classic stand-up meets Rhenish wine culture.

The comedians represent a mid-to-upper tier of the German stand-up scene with TV experience:

• Lars Hohlfeld — Host of the evening, has experience with his own solo tours

Bührmann Weine — Wine Bistro and Event Venue

Bührmann Weine has been a destination for fine wines on the Lower Rhine for decades. The wine house with a bistro has also established itself as an event location. The Gourmetrebellen — the bistro team — will cater the evenings with fine food and matching wines. A rare combination of comedy and gastronomy, unique in this form in Moers.

Pop up Comedy — The Format

The Düsseldorf series Pop up Comedy specializes in open-air stand-up at unusual locations. Instead of classic comedy stages, they use courtyards, wine markets, manufactories, and breweries — the joke is that the unusual setting makes the experience more intimate and special. Bührmann Weine in Moers is one of the Lower Rhine stops on a tour that travels throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.

Moers — Lower Rhine Town with Tradition

With almost 100,000 inhabitants, Moers (a town belonging to the Wesel district) is a medium-sized center on the western Lower Rhine. Moers is known regionally primarily for the annual Moers Festival for improvisational jazz, which has been held since the 1970s. In addition, the city has a vibrant gastronomic and cultural scene — Pop up Comedy fits into this picture as a premium event.

Atmosphere of the Evening

Doors open at 6:00 PM — time for a glass of wine and a bistro snack afterwards. Show starts at 7:30 PM with Lars Hohlfeld as host and the three comedians taking turns. Open-air, weather permitting, or covered if necessary. Admission €29.90 per person.
