Premiere Open Air with Dorfrocker

The Pretzfelder Keller Open Air is the first concert event of this magnitude at the traditional brewery cellar of Nikl-Bräu in Pretzfeld. The Dorfrocker — three brothers from Lower Franconia who provided a soundtrack for a rural generation in the 2010s with their mix of Schlager, Pop, and party music — are among Germany's best-known folk music-pop acts. As part of their Dorf-Tour 2026, they are stopping in the Franconian Switzerland.

The Pretzfelder Keller

The Pretzfelder Keller is a Franconian institution: a beer cellar located in the forest east of Pretzfeld, operated by the Nikl-Bräu brewery. From spring to autumn, it offers freshly tapped cellar beer, homemade delicacies, and a unique panoramic view of the Franconian Switzerland's hilly landscape. For generations, the cellar has been a popular meeting place for hikers, cyclists, and beer lovers — a typical example of the Upper Franconian beer cellar culture.

Concept and Atmosphere

The concert takes place in the front area of the cellar on a specially erected stage. Regular cellar operations continue in the back area during the concert — so those who simply want to enjoy a cold beer without a concert ticket can still do so. This dual use is a hallmark of the new format.

Pretzfeld in Franconian Switzerland

Pretzfeld is a market town with about 2,500 inhabitants in the Forchheim district in Upper Franconia (State of Bavaria). The municipality is located in the heart of the Franconian Switzerland — one of Germany's most beautiful low mountain ranges with karst rocks, caves, castles, and an extremely high density of breweries. The Forchheim district alone has over 70 breweries — Nikl-Bräu Pretzfeld is one of the oldest.
