Osterkirmes Wuppertal 2026 — Nine Days of Spring Excitement on Carnaper Platz

From April 4th to 12th, 2026, Carnaper Platz in Wuppertal-Barmen will be the venue for the traditional Osterkirmes. Daily 2 PM - 10 PM. The Osterkirmes is one of ten funfair dates that Wuppertal will host in 2026 — and, alongside the MEGA KIRMES in June, one of the largest and most popular.

2026 Highlight — The Premiere of "Poco Loco"

The central novelty of the Osterkirmes 2026 is the mirror labyrinth "Poco Loco". A large animated figure greets visitors at the entrance, then you enter the labyrinth — and particularly clever: guests can download an app that discovers hidden QR codes within the labyrinth and unlocks bonus prizes. A modern reinterpretation of the classic mirror labyrinth.

Family and Children's Day — Affordable Hours

• Wednesday, April 8th — Family Day: Reduced ride and food prices at all showmen. Classic "mid-week savings" day, where families with children get particularly good value.
• Thursday, April 9th — Children's Day: From 4 PM, comic characters and superheroes in costume will be around — photo opportunities and entertainment for the youngest guests.

Wuppertal Funfair Season 2026 — Carnaper Platz as a Hot Spot

The Osterkirmes virtually opens the season of the "big" Wuppertal funfairs. Even before that, the Spring Funfair at Berliner Platz took place from March 20th to 23rd. The season continues with the May Funfair at Lienhardplatz and Neumarkt — and culminates in the MEGA KIRMES (June 12th-21st) with new large rides like "TIKI TAKA" (45-meter swing ride) and "Big Bamboo".

The Osterkirmes takes place in the district of Wuppertal-Barmen, one of the historical cores of the large city in the Bergisches Land region. Carnaper Platz offers the necessary space for a funfair of this size — and is well connected by bus and the Wuppertal suspension railway. Wuppertal, with its approx. 360,000 inhabitants (independent city), is the fourth-largest city in the Bergisches Land and is primarily famous for its suspension railway, the Pina Bausch tradition, and the Engels House.
