GDR Technology Meets Festival Atmosphere
The Ostblock-Fahrzeugtreffen in Hammer an der Uecker is a festival for lovers of East Bloc mobility. The venue is the Waldplatz near Hammer, a small community in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district on the western bank of the Uecker river, in the middle of the Ueckermünder Heide. In the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the meeting has quickly become a highlight of the season.
Simson, MZ, Trabant, and Wartburg
The focus is on vehicles from the former East Bloc: the legendary Simson mopeds, MZ motorcycles, Trabant and Wartburg cars, and other classics produced in the GDR. During classic car shows and vehicle awards, participants present their lovingly maintained and restored machines. A two-wheeler dynamometer invites visitors to test their own technology.
Excursions, Music, and Laser Show
The meeting is more than just a vehicle show: Joint excursions through the surrounding heathland, live bands, and DJs ensure lively evenings, complemented by a flea market, a children's and family program, and a laser show as a nightly highlight. Food and drinks are available on-site; camping facilities turn the weekend into a true festival experience.

The meeting is organized by Forellenhof Hammer in cooperation with Zweitaktbrigade Pommern. The festival is supported by the local municipality, Waldplatz Jatznick, the Hammer Volunteer Fire Department, and DJs and bands from the region. A glass ban is in effect throughout the entire event area — only cans or plastic containers are permitted.
Ostblocktreffen Hammer — edition 2026
The second edition of the Ostblock-Fahrzeugtreffen invites enthusiasts from Thursday, July 16, to Sunday, July 19, 2026, to the Waldplatz in Hammer an der Uecker. Following the successful debut in 2025, the organizers expect thousands of enthusiasts centered around GDR vehicle culture again.
The program includes classic car shows, vehicle awards, joint excursions, a two-wheeler dynamometer, a flea market, a children's and family program, as well as live bands, DJs, and a laser show. Camping is available directly on-site. A glass ban is in effect throughout the entire grounds.

Getting There
Hammer an der Uecker is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, not far from Torgelow and Ueckermünde. The best way to get there is by car; organizers provide information on signage and parking facilities at the Waldplatz. Address: Klein Hammer 24, 17358 Hammer an der Uecker.
Camping
Camping facilities are available on the festival grounds. For multi-day stays, early registration through the organizers is recommended.
