Hermsdorf — Hub in the Saale-Holzland-Kreis
Hermsdorf is a small town in the Saale-Holzland-Kreis district in the state of Thuringia, located at the Hermsdorf interchange — one of the most important transport hubs in Central Germany (A4/A9). The town is known for its porcelain tradition (KAHLA Porzellan) and its location in the so-called Holzland — the hilly, wooded region between the Saale and White Elster rivers.

2026 Program
The 2026 Oldienacht takes place on Friday, June 12, starting at 6 PM in Hermsdorf. The stage will be set up outdoors or in a large marquee — depending on the weather and the approval of the administrative community. Live bands will play classics by Roy Black, Howard Carpendale, Dalida, ABBA, The Beatles, and many others. Dancing is a must — and a mulled wine or beer from the tap is essential for this convivial evening.
