Kick-off on Friday with Village Shooting and Wreath Laying
The festive start on Friday, June 12th, is the traditional village shooting competition. At 5:00 PM, the wreath-laying ceremony will take place, with which the people of Bevern commemorate their ancestors and officially open the anniversary weekend. The event is deeply rooted in the social life of the Flecken and combines local pride with cultural identity.
Medieval Camp and Family Program on Saturday
Saturday, June 13th, is dedicated to a vibrant medieval camp that transports visitors to the world of past centuries. Workshops on candle and rope making are offered especially for children. At 3:30 PM, the festive church service begins, followed by the proclamation of the dignitaries at 4:15 PM. The highlight of the day is the grand parade through the Flecken. In the evening, a party with a DJ invites you to celebrate late into the night.
Cozy Conclusion on Sunday
Sunday, June 14th, concludes with a communal 'Katerfrühstück'. Thus, the festival weekend comes to a convivial end, giving the people of Bevern the opportunity to share their experiences and look forward to the further anniversary events of the year.
Embedded in the Anniversary Year
The festival weekend is one of four major events that mark Bevern's 1200th anniversary. The anniversary concert with the Phil Collins tribute band True Collins already delighted audiences in the spring. Further events, including a special castle concert at the end of the year, complete the program.
