A Pentecost Funfair in Western Munich
The Olching Volksfest is one of the established events in the festival calendar of the Fürstenfeldbruck district in the Bavarian administrative region of Upper Bavaria. Around Pentecost, families, clubs, and guests from all over the western Munich metropolitan area gather on the festival grounds on Toni-März-Straße to enjoy the classic mix of tradition and festivities.
Festival Tent and Bavarian Gemütlichkeit
The heart of the festival is the large festival tent, catered by Festzelte Widmann. Here, party bands, brass bands, and popular music ensure lively evenings, while traditional Bavarian delicacies and freshly tapped beer are served. Table reservations in the festival tent are usually possible from the beginning of March.

With a new edition every year, the Olching Volksfest has established itself as the largest Volksfest in the Fürstenfeldbruck district and is an important meeting point for the social life of the town of Olching and its surroundings.
Volksfest Olching — edition 2026
The 74th edition of the Olching Volksfest runs from May 29 to June 7, 2026, spanning ten days around Pentecost. The festival opens with the traditional parade of Olching clubs and the ceremonial tapping of the first beer keg. Throughout the festival days, there will be a senior afternoon, a children's and family day, a mini-disco, a festival service, boxing, and a final fireworks display.
Already on the eve of the official start, May 28, 2026, the cabaret artist Simone Solga will provide entertainment in the festival tent. The large festival tent is catered by Festzelte Widmann, and modern rides and classic carousels await on the festival grounds. Table reservations are possible from the beginning of March.

Getting There
Olching is on the S-Bahn line S3 (Munich–Maisach); the festival grounds on Toni-März-Straße are within walking distance of the station. By car via the A8 or B471; parking is available near the festival grounds.
Admission
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Table reservations in the festival tent are possible from the beginning of March.
Tip
The opening parade and the senior afternoon are among the most popular program items – early reservation for evenings with live music is recommended.
