Premium Rally at Germany's Northernmost Tip

The OCC-Küstentrophy is one of the most renowned classic car rallies in northern Germany – and has been fully booked for years by collectors, enthusiasts, and premium travelers. Organized by the Oldtimer Club Cologne, the 17th edition in 2026 leads to Sylt, Germany's northernmost island in the North Frisia district. The rally center is the 5-star hotel A-ROSA Sylt in List – a luxurious starting point for an event that deliberately focuses on enjoyment rather than speed.

120 Historic Vehicles on the Island

Around 120 historic vehicles participate annually, from pre-war models to more recent classics from the 1980s. The mix spanning eight decades of automotive history is what makes the rally appealing – along with the shared experience of the participants, who often know each other for years.

Day 1: Denmark

On Friday, May 8th, 2026, participants will travel to Denmark via the Sylt-Rømø ferry. The route leads through Southern Jutland with stops in:

  • Ribe – Denmark's oldest city
  • Tønder – historic market town
  • Møgeltønder – royal residence
  • Højer – marsh village on the Danish west coast
  • Emil Nolde Museum in Seebüll and the Hamburger Hallig on the way back

The return journey is via the Rømø-Sylt ferry.

Day 2: Sylt

On Saturday, May 9th, the rally stays on the island. Highlights include:

  • Dune landscapes of the west coast
  • Wadden Sea and Frisian landscape
  • Ellenbogen – Germany's northernmost tip
  • Gastronomic stops with regional culinary delights
  • Skill tests and regularity laps

More Journey Than Race

The character of the OCC-Küstentrophy is explicitly not that of a motorsport competition. The focus is on driving pleasure, culinary experiences, and camaraderie. In the state of Schleswig-Holstein, the event is among the highest-quality classic car dates – registration is not possible without going through the waiting list for 2026.
