Three-day festival of associations in the Schlosspark of the "Clauertstadt" at the start of the Dahmer Theatersommer
The Heimatfest der Vereine Dahme/Mark is the annual festival of associations in the southern Brandenburg town of Dahme in the Teltow-Fläming district. In 2026, it will take place from June 19th to 21st in the Schlosspark — coinciding exactly with the start of the renowned Dahmer Theatersommer, which traditionally presents several weeks of open-air theater in the Schlosspark from mid-June.
The organizers and actors of the Heimatfest are the local associations of Dahme: sports clubs, the local history society, the fire department support association, the carnival club, the shooting club, choirs, and music associations. Each association designs a stall, a stage element, or an activity. This creates a colorful patchwork of Dahme's club life, showcasing the entire social fabric of the small town in its diversity.
Dahme Castle was built in the 16th century as a Renaissance moated castle and has been rebuilt several times. Today, the castle houses a library and the local history museum. The associated Schlosspark with its moats, old trees, and castle pond offers the ideal backdrop for a festival of associations — no traffic, shade on hot June days, and enough space for the stage, stalls, and play areas.
Dahme/Mark bears the nickname "Clauertstadt" — after the legendary rogue Hans Clauert (1506–1566), who is considered Dahme's famous "Till Eulenspiegel" and is immortalized in numerous jesting tales. The town has erected a monument to the rogue and regularly uses his figure in city marketing — the Heimatfest also incorporates the Clauert tradition in show acts and contributions from associations.
The fact that the Heimatfest 2026 coincides with the Dahmer Theatersommer is both a stroke of luck and a tradition. Those who travel to Dahme on June 21st can visit the Heimatfest in the morning, plan for the OTTMA vintage car flea market (June 28th) in the afternoon, and experience the Theatersommer play in the castle gardens in the evening. Admission to the Heimatfest is free.
The Heimatfest der Vereine Dahme/Mark 2026 will be celebrated from June 19th to 21st, 2026, in the Schlosspark. For three days, the local associations of Dahme will animate the festival grounds: sports clubs, the local history society, the fire department support association, choirs, the shooting club, and carnival clubs.
The program is designed by the associations themselves — from dance performances by sports groups and concerts by choirs to cooking competitions and craft activities for children. The Schlosspark with its moats, old trees, and Renaissance moated castle offers the perfect atmosphere.
Special feature in 2026: The Heimatfest coincides with the start of the Dahmer Theatersommer, which traditionally presents open-air theater in the castle gardens from mid-June. Those who come to Dahme on Sunday, June 21st, can experience both.
