Summer Festival at Germany's Northernmost Point

List is located at the northern tip of the island of Sylt and is officially the northernmost municipality in Germany – a small harbour town with just under 2,000 inhabitants, primarily living from fishing and tourism. Fishing boats, charter boats, the Sylt ferry to Rømø, and excursion boats to the seal banks are moored at the harbour. For one day, the Lister Hafenfest turns this everyday scene into a festive backdrop – stages on the harbour quay, stalls, activities for children and adults.

Maritime Atmosphere and Entertainment

The festival starts at 12:00 PM and uses the harbour and its promenade until the evening. The programme includes:

• Music Stage with North German acts
• List Fish Gastronomy with crab rolls, fried fish, and smoked fish
• Maritime Activities for children – learning to tie knots, read a compass
• Stalls of List clubs and businesses
• Harbour Tours with excursion boats from the Adler-Schiffe shipping company

List Fishing Boats and Sylt Ferry

Visitors to the Lister Hafenfest can combine their day with a view of the List fishing fleet – and with a trip on the Sylt ferry to Rømø (Denmark), which departs just a few steps from the festival grounds. The List lighthouse and the Ellenbogen Nature Centre are also within reach – a perfect combination of festival day and island excursion.

Organiser: Kurverwaltung List

The organiser is the Kurverwaltung List auf Sylt (List Tourist Office on Sylt), which coordinates the entire tourist programme of the municipality – from the List Natural Forces Experience Centre to the List Winter Market and the October deck chair auction. The harbour festival is one of the well-attended summer highlights.
