Neelix Live on the Beach
Since the mid-2000s, Neelix has been one of the most prominent German Psytrance producers — known for driving progressive trance sets and his own record label (Spin Twist Records). His live set is in high demand on the international trance scene; in Berlin, he can regularly be heard at major open-airs. The NEELIX LIVE + OSTFUNK Beach Festival at Strandbad Grünau brings his live setup to one of Berlin's most beautiful beach festival locations — the sandy shore of Langen See.
Beachstage and Waldarena
As with the other Strandbad Grünau festivals, the program is divided across two spatially separated stages. On the Beachstage directly by the sand, the lineup in 2026 features Neelix (Live), Karla Blum, Stereolink, Tom Klang, and D'Joy. The Waldarena in the pine forest is hosted by Berlin's Ostfunk collective, one of the capital's most established Psytrance/Techno collectives, with Daniel Boon, Bassronauts, René Bourgeois, Patrick Scuro, Linda Grazia, and Lord of Psychedelics.
Berlin's Psytrance and Techno Tradition
For decades, Ostfunk has been a cornerstone of the Berlin Psytrance and Techno scene — known for events at Watergate, Wuhlheide, and open-air festivals in Brandenburg. By taking over the Waldarena at the NEELIX festival, Ostfunk delivers its first Berlin beach set, bringing typical Psytrance and Hard Techno currents to the waters of Langen See. The festival thus adds a distinctly more techno-oriented flavor to the electronic beach festival series in Grünau.
Strictly 18+, €34.90 incl. Welcome Drink
Like the other Strandbad Grünau festivals, NEELIX + OSTFUNK is strictly 18+. Tickets cost €34.90 (plus pre-sale fees) and include a welcome drink. The usual format applies on-site: cabanas and daybeds for rent, street food stalls, and bars, with cashless payment only. Tickets are available via xandstorm.de and Rausgegangen.
Strandbad Grünau in Treptow-Köpenick
The venue is the listed Strandbad Grünau on Langen See, Sportpromenade 9 in 12527 Berlin (Grünau district, Treptow-Köpenick borough). Travel by S-Bahn (S8, S46, S85) to Grünau, then Tram 68 towards Alt-Schmöckwitz. Within Berlin, the Strandbad is one of the oldest and most beautiful lidos, providing a perfect stage for the electronic festival series — sand, forest, water, and daylight until late evening.
NEELIX + OSTFUNK Beach — edition 2026
The NEELIX LIVE + OSTFUNK Beach Festival 2026 combines two worlds in one day: progressive Psytrance on the Beachstage by the sandy shore with Neelix as the headliner, and the Berlin Ostfunk collective in the Waldarena with Psytrance and Techno DJ sets. Eight hours of programming between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM, organized by the Strandbad Grünau team around Xandstorm in cooperation with Ostfunk.
