Berlin's Summer Begins in May
When May arrives in Berlin, the club scene knows: the beach season at Strandbad Grünau on Langer See is starting. Players Delight Spring Beach opens as one of the first major open-airs of the year, giving it a special role in the Berlin festival calendar — the season opener for Berlin's beach festivals, which take turns occupying the Sportpromenade 9 in Grünau between May and September.
Two Stages — Beach and Forest
The festival concept relies on two spatially separated stages with different atmospheres. The Beach Stage is right on the sand, with DJs playing overlooking Langer See — in 2026 featuring Thomas Lizzara (one of Berlin's most established House DJs), Blondee, and Ilja. The Waldarena is located in the surrounding pine forest, with light installations among the trees — in 2026, Waikiki, Tom Klang, Bionic, and Mayze will play here. Walking acts and beach performances will also take place on the grounds.
Strictly 18+, Card Only, No Glass
The festival is strictly 18+ — minors will not be admitted, even when accompanied by adults. Payment on the grounds is exclusively cashless (card). Glass bottles, brought-in food and drinks, large bags, and pyrotechnics are not allowed. Cabanas, daybeds, and loungers can be rented; street food and drink stands will cater to attendees throughout the day.
Ticket Prices and After-Party
Tickets are tiered by sales phase: Early Bird €21.90, Regular €25.90, Last Minute €29.90 (plus booking fees each). The ticket includes a welcome drink and admission to the after-party at Pirates Berlin (subject to capacity). The festival runs for 8 hours — intentionally held during the day so that all visitors can transition to Berlin's nightlife at sunset.
Strandbad Grünau — Architectural Icon by the Water
Strandbad Grünau in the Treptow-Köpenick district (State of Berlin) is one of Berlin's oldest and most beautiful bathing establishments — a listed building, a long sandy beach on Langer See, surrounded by pine forest. For Players Delight Spring Beach, it's the perfect stage: far from the city center, with a real beach feeling, yet reachable in 35 minutes by S-Bahn and tram from the main station. Those who arrive early can start the day with a dip in the lake before the first beats begin.
Players Delight Spring Beach — edition 2026
Players Delight Spring Beach 2026 is the season opener at Strandbad Grünau: 8 hours of programming on the sand and in the pine forest, featuring headliners from the Berlin and international House scene. Cabanas, daybeds, and street food stands will accompany the day; from 10 PM onwards, the after-party continues at Pirates Berlin. The event is organized by the Strandbad Grünau team around Open Air Berlin.

Getting There
Strandbad Grünau, Sportpromenade 9, 12527 Berlin (Grünau / Köpenick). S-Bahn station Grünau (S8, S46, S85), then Tram 68 towards Alt-Schmöckwitz, stop "Strandbad Grünau" (approx. 10 min ride). From the main station, approx. 50 minutes by public transport. No parking available on site — public transport or bicycle is mandatory.
