A Kerwa with Tradition
The Kirchweih Dachsbach is a fixture on the event calendar of the market town of Dachsbach in the West Middle Franconian district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim. Year after year, it is organized by the Dachsbach youths (Ortsburschen and Ortsmadle) and numerous voluntary helpers, and it is an expression of lived shared history and joy in the village community.
Kirchweihfichte and Kerwazug
The highlight of the customs is the erection of the Kirchweihfichte: On Kirchweihsamstag, the Ortsburschen erect the decorated tree at 3:00 PM in front of the 'Zur Goldenen Traube' inn. On Kirchweihsonntag, the Kerwaburschen and Kerwamadle parade through the town from 2:00 PM with creatively and humorously designed floats – the themed floats winkingly reference events of the past year.

Highlights include the erection of the decorated Kirchweihfichte on Saturday at 3:00 PM in front of the 'Zur Goldenen Traube' inn, as well as the Kerwazug on Sunday from 2:00 PM with creatively designed themed floats that humorously reference events of the past year. The local inns and clubs provide regional specialties, music, and a convivial atmosphere throughout the festival days.
