Overview

Already in 2025, Neelix and the Ostfunk collective jointly played at Strandbad Grünau. The Beachstage featured international Psytrance and Progressive acts; in the Waldarena within the surrounding pine forest, the Berlin Ostfunk collective took over with Psytrance and Techno DJs. The format with a welcome drink included in the ticket price and a strict 18+ rule set the framework for the May 30, 2026 edition.

In early summer 2025, the NEELIX LIVE + OSTFUNK Beach Festival proved that progressive Psytrance works on Berlin's sandy beach. Neelix performed his live set against the backdrop of Langen See, while the Ostfunk collective took over the Waldarena in the pine forest with Psytrance and Techno DJ sets. As with the other Strandbad Grünau formats, the festival ran from 2 PM to 10 PM; tickets cost €34.90 incl. welcome drink, with entry strictly for those 18 and over.

On-site, street food stalls, bars, and cabanas provided the usual festival infrastructure. The mix of a Psytrance live set on the Beachstage and the established Berlin Ostfunk presence in the Waldarena formed the specific signature of this festival — and set the stage for the repeat event on May 30, 2026.
