The former Cistercian monastery of Altfriedland is located in the Altfriedland district of the municipality of Neutrebbin in the Märkisch-Oderland district, on the edge of the Oderbruch in Eastern Brandenburg. Founded in the 13th century, it is one of the oldest preserved monastery ensembles in the region. The concert on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in the monastery refectory is dedicated to Spanish Renaissance and Baroque music under the title „Españoletas — Spanish Wind". Spanish composers from the period between 1500 and 1700 — from the Vihuelists and court composers of the Catholic Monarchs to the Baroque masters in churches and court chapels — will shape the concert evening. The acoustically special refectory room enhances the impact of the music.
