Summer Wine Festival at Kelterplatz — Württemberg Wines in the Enzkreis
Mühlacker is located in the Württemberg wine region, in the Enzkreis district of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The Kelterplatz in the city center refers to the centuries-old vineyard tradition of the city and the surrounding wine villages (Lienzingen, Mühlhausen, Lomersheim, Großglattbach, Enzberg). Here, the Mühlacker City Management will host the Mühlacker Wine Festival on July 24, 2026 — a one-day summer wine festival focusing on Württemberg classics.
The focus is on wines from the region: Trollinger, Lemberger, Schwarzriesling, Riesling, Weißburgunder, Müller-Thurgau, and occasionally Cuvées or selection wines. The participating wineries and cooperatives come from the region — Mühlacker-Lienzingen, Mühlhausen, Lomersheim, as well as the surrounding Württemberg wine villages. Tasting is done in an open format at the vintner's stand; bottle sales are available on-site.
The Kelterplatz is one of the central historic squares in the city — named after the 'Kelter' (wine press) where grapes were traditionally pressed. Today, the square serves as an urban summer meeting point; on festival days, it is enlivened with high tables, beer bench sets, and small stages. The setting is deliberately relaxed, without a large festival tent, offering a casual summer evening with wine, specialties, and conversation.
Mühlacker, with just under 27,000 inhabitants, is a central town in the Enzkreis district, located between Pforzheim and Vaihingen an der Enz. The city is known for its Mühlacker transmitter (medium-wave transmitter, for a long time the most important transmitter in Southern Germany) and for its vineyard sites stretching south of the city. In the state of Baden-Württemberg, Mühlacker belongs to the Württemberg wine landscape with its typical red wines — the Mühlacker Wine Festival is the annual urban staging of this profile.
The Mühlacker City Management is organizing the 2026 Wine Festival as a one-day summer event at Kelterplatz. Starting in the late afternoon, catering by restaurateurs and clubs until late in the evening. The participating Württemberg wineries and cooperatives from the region will set up their stands — tasting at the stand, bottle sales on-site.
The exact hourly program and the list of participating vintners will be published before the festival on muehlacker.de. Structurally, the festival follows the proven Württemberg summer wine festival format: no large stage, but an open setting with high tables, seating arrangements, and the possibility to move between stands.
Free admission. Wine tasting (0.1 liter) typically €2.00–€3.50 depending on the variety. Food at club/restaurateur prices. Glass deposit for the tasting glass at the stand.
Mühlacker is accessible via the A 8 (exit Pforzheim-Ost) and the B 10. By train via the Württembergische Schwarzwaldbahn (Karlsruhe–Pforzheim–Stuttgart) or the branch line of the Enztalbahn, Mühlacker station. A few minutes' walk from the station to Kelterplatz.
Friday, July 24, 2026 — from late afternoon until late evening. Specific times will be published before the festival on muehlacker.de and in the local press.
Free admission. Wine tasting and food are paid for individually.
