Classic Berlin Easter festival with funfair, live music, and beer garden — four days at Alice-Salomon-Platz in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district
Alice-Salomon-Platz is the urban center of the Hellersdorf district in Marzahn-Hellersdorf. The Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences for Social Work, the Helle-Mitte shopping center, the Hellersdorf subway station, and several residential buildings are grouped around the square. In GDR times, Hellersdorf was one of the largest prefabricated housing estates in Germany — today, the district strives for quality of life and community events like the Easter festival, which attracts thousands of residents every year.
The Easter festival traditionally runs from Good Friday to Easter Monday — four days in total. At Alice-Salomon-Platz, Laubinger Event GmbH, a long-established Berlin showman family, sets up a classic funfair: carousels, Ferris wheel, bumper cars, children's carousels, shooting galleries, and snack stands. An open-air stage provides live music (cover bands, Schlager, pop) and a varied stage program on all four days. There is also a cozy beer garden with seating, bratwurst, fries, crêpes, waffles, and a cocktail bar with strawberry punch.
The Osterfest Helle Mitte is explicitly designed as a family festival. Children can enjoy a variety of rides, while parents and grandparents relax in the beer garden. Since admission is free and travel by subway line U5 is easy, visitors come from all over the district and beyond. For many Hellersdorf residents, the Easter festival is the most important spring event in the neighborhood.
Laubinger Event GmbH is a traditional Berlin showman and event family that organizes several Volksfeste in the eastern districts of Berlin (including Easter festivals, summer festivals, Christmas markets). They stand for a classic, family-friendly concept without excessive commercialization — especially in districts like Marzahn-Hellersdorf, where small neighborhood festivals play an important social role.
The 2026 edition runs from Good Friday, April 3rd to Easter Monday, April 6th, 2026, at Alice-Salomon-Platz (12627 Berlin). The organizer is Laubinger Event GmbH. Open Good Friday to Easter Sunday from 12 PM to 10 PM, Easter Monday from 11 AM to 8 PM. Free admission.
