About Hellersdorf Harvest Festival
Hellersdorf Harvest Festival — edition 2026

The 37th edition of the Hellersdorf Harvest Festival will follow the proven three-day format: Friday, September 11, 2026 (2 PM–10 PM), Saturday, September 12, 2026 (12 PM–10 PM), and Sunday, September 13, 2026 (11 AM–8 PM). The venue is the entire Alice Salomon Square, which will be transformed into a festival mile.
What's Planned
As in previous years, three elements will be at the centre: the stage programme with live music and cover bands, the harvest garden with historical agricultural machinery, and the rustic beer garden with food stalls. In addition, there will be amusement rides, game stalls, and activities for families. The Saturday programme traditionally kicks off with a live boxing segment.

Grand Volksfest in East Berlin
The Hellersdorf Harvest Festival is one of the oldest and largest district festivals in Berlin's Marzahn-Hellersdorf borough. It originates from the tradition of an autumn fair and is now a blend of a classic harvest festival, Volksfest, and community festival. The venue is Alice Salomon Square, right by the Hellersdorf U-Bahn station, which is completely transformed into a festival mile for three days.
Harvest Garden and Tradition
The core element of the harvest festival has remained central even after decades: a harvest garden with a harvest tree, traditional straw figures, and historical agricultural machinery and equipment serves as a reminder that Hellersdorf, until the 1980s, was rebuilt with fields and prefabricated housing blocks – in the midst of a landscape that was previously agricultural.
Stage Programme, Rides, Culinary Delights
The stage programme runs for three days, featuring live music, cover bands, dance groups, and family entertainment. Surrounding this are classic Volksfest elements:
- Amusement rides and game stalls
- Food stalls offering Bratwurst, fries, almonds, crepes, and international specialities
- A rustic beer garden with a selection of German breweries
- Live boxing on Saturday as part of the festival programme
- Family area with children's carousels
Marzahn-Hellersdorf – A Borough with its Own Character
The Harvest Festival is one of the highlights of East Berlin, situated between prefabricated housing estates and the city outskirts. The Marzahn-Hellersdorf borough has gained significant visibility in recent years – with the International Garden Show in 2017 and an active cultural scene around the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences, whose namesake also gives the festival square its name.
Organiser and Admission
The organiser is Laubinger Event GmbH, one of Berlin's most traditional showman and event companies. Admission is free; only the individual rides, food, and drinks need to be paid for.
