Advent Wonderland at Kelterplatz
The Mühlacker Christmas Market is one of the fixed Advent dates in the Enzkreis district. From November 25 to 29, 2026, the Mühlacker City Management (Mühlacker aktiv e.V.) will host a five-day Advent wonderland at Kelterplatz in the city center and the adjacent Konrad-Adenauer-Platz. The expansion to two squares gives the market more space for stalls, a stage, and meeting areas — Mühlacker, as a central district, shows itself from its most hospitable side.
Handicrafts and Club Life
The focus is on around ten permanent handicraft stalls and about twenty rotating exhibitors who alternate on the different market days — handmade ceramics, textiles, woodwork, Advent decorations. In addition, choirs from the region, school classes, and clubs contribute to the program with performances: children's choirs, brass choirs, student ensembles from Mühlacker schools. St. Nicholas traditionally visits the market on Sunday and gives gifts to the young visitors.
Gastronomy Between Regional and Global
Culinary delights combine Swabian winter tradition with an international flair: mulled wine and punch, roasted almonds, gingerbread, Maultaschen, lentils with Spätzle, Schupfnudeln, along with crêpes, raclette, and street food specialties. Participating clubs and restaurateurs from Mühlacker and the surrounding area are responsible for the catering — the festival is supported by local clubs, giving it its profile between a city market and a club festival.
Mühlacker in the Enzkreis District
Mühlacker, with just under 27,000 inhabitants, is located in the Enzkreis district in the state of Baden-Württemberg, between Pforzheim and Vaihingen an der Enz on the A 8 motorway. The town is primarily known for the historic Mühlacker radio transmitter (medium-wave transmitter) and its Württemberg vineyard sites. The Christmas market is the annual urban staging of the Advent season in the city — an event where residents from the Enzkreis and the surrounding Württemberg wine villages (Lienzingen, Mühlhausen, Lomersheim) come together.

Program 2026 — Five Days of Advent Wonderland
The Mühlacker City Management is expanding the successful format from the previous year: Kelterplatz will be fully utilized and extended to Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, creating more space for stalls, a stage, and seating areas. Over the five market days, performances by local choirs, school classes, and clubs will be featured — children's choirs, brass choirs, and student ensembles from Mühlacker schools will provide the musical accompaniment.
The range of goods from the approximately 10 permanent craftspeople and 20 rotating exhibitors covers the classic Advent program: handmade ceramics, textiles, woodwork, jewelry, Christmas tree ornaments, regional natural products. Culinary offerings from clubs and restaurateurs combine Swabian winter traditions (mulled wine, Maultaschen, gingerbread) with international specialties. St. Nicholas traditionally visits the market on Sunday.

Mühlacker is accessible via the A 8 motorway (Pforzheim-Ost exit) and the B 10 federal road. By train via the Württembergische Schwarzwaldbahn (Karlsruhe–Pforzheim–Stuttgart) or the Enztalbahn — Mühlacker station. A few minutes' walk from the station to Kelterplatz.
