A Folk Festival with a Lower Bavarian Soul
The Marklkofen Fishermen's Festival is one of the established events in the calendar of the Dingolfing-Landau district. The festival is jointly organized by the Kreisfischereiverein Dingolfing e.V., the municipality of Marklkofen, and the Kerscher family, who host the festival.
The Fishing Competitions at the Center
The traditional fishing competitions are the focus of the festival. The youth fishing on Saturday morning introduces youngsters to the art of angling, while the grand conservation fishing on Sunday is the sporting highlight, featuring stocking, weighing of catches, and a festive award ceremony in the afternoon.
