Mamminger Volksfest

A Folk Festival Run by a Club

The Mamminger Volksfest is organized by the Radfahrverein Isarstrand Mamming cycling club and is a well-established club festival with a long tradition. The first chairman is Christian Kammerbauer. The 2026 edition is already the 61st, underscoring the consistency of this festival in the Lower Bavarian event calendar.

Mamming on the Isar: The Venue

Mamming is a municipality in the Dingolfing-Landau district in the state of Bavaria, located on the Isar riverbank – from which the organizing club derives its name. The festival grounds on Flurstraße are the center of local life during the festival days.

Course of Events and Customs

The festival traditionally opens with a traditional concert at the Gasthaus Apfelbeck, followed by a parade to the festival grounds. The festival host is the Landgasthof Apfelbeck, which provides Lower Bavarian catering in the festival tent. A trade exhibition, a senior citizens' afternoon, a children's day, and evening live entertainment are part of the regular program.

Regional Gastronomy

As is typical for Lower Bavarian folk festivals, hearty delicacies, freshly tapped beer, and regional specialties are the focus of the catering. The festival thrives on its family-friendly, village atmosphere and the voluntary commitment of the club members.

Identity for the Community

The Mamminger Volksfest is more than just entertainment: it is an identity-building event for the community of Mamming and a meeting point for the entire region along the Isar in southeastern Bavaria.
