Summer Wine Festival of the Löwenstein Music Association at the Wine House of the Winemakers from the Weinsberg Valley — Heuchelberg Wine Region
Löwenstein, with just under 3,000 inhabitants, is a small wine-growing town in the Heilbronn district — nestled between the slopes of the Heuchelberg and the upper Weinsberg Valley. The town is part of the historic Heuchelberg wine-growing region, known primarily for Trollinger, Lemberger, and Schwarzriesling. The Winzer vom Weinsberger Tal eG, a wine cooperative with members from Löwenstein and neighboring communities, operates the Löwenstein Wine House as a central sales and event venue.
The Löwenstein Music and Wine Festival is the annual main event of the Löwenstein Music Association e.V. — and one of the association's largest annual festivals. The festival combines two local traditions: musical culture (the music association has been active in the region for decades, with its own youth and senior bands) and viticulture (the Heuchelberg wine region). The festival is held at the Löwenstein Wine House at Reisacher Straße 5 — right on the edge of the vineyards.
In summer temperatures, guests sit in the beer garden and under the awnings of the wine house — many outdoors with a view of the surrounding vineyards. The atmosphere is relaxed Swabian: no large stages, but a festival with the character of an extended winery weekend. The catering stands serve wines directly from the wine house's tanks — Trollinger Schorle, Riesling, Lemberger, Schwarzriesling, along with wine tasting opportunities.
The musical program is the second strength of the festival:
The active members of the music association handle the catering:
As is customary for association festivals: All proceeds go directly to the Löwenstein Music Association — for instruments, sheet music, youth work, and training courses. This volunteer-funded operation is an essential pillar of the association's existence and makes the festival a true community event.
The festival follows the established two-day pattern with a clear structure:
