Autumn lifestyle fair in the castle park
The LebensArt fairs are a nationwide series of atmospheric lifestyle events held in castle parks and manor grounds. Großharthau in the Bautzen district, located on the Upper Lusatian Castles and Palaces Route between Pulsnitz and Bischofswerda, has been one of the most sought-after dates in the Saxon autumn for years. The castle park, with its old trees and the castle as a backdrop, gives the fair a character that enclosed indoor fairs cannot offer.
Three days of programming: around a hundred carefully selected exhibitors offering home accessories, jewelry, porcelain, autumn decorations, fashion, and culinary delights. In between, there's live music, bird of prey shows daily at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, chainsaw sculptors at work, dog training demonstrations, and a children's program with pumpkin carving and hands-on activities. As dusk falls, the park is festively illuminated.
LebensArt fairs are consciously curated: exhibitors are selected, and the standard is intended to be above that of a classic weekly market, without tipping into the luxury segment. The range of products covers home, garden, fashion, jewelry, porcelain, and culinary items — the mix appeals to a solvent clientele from Dresden, Bautzen, and the surrounding area.
Großharthau is a small municipality in the Bautzen district, at the transition between West and Upper Lusatia. Großharthau Castle is one of the many noble residences along the Castles Route. Visitors to the Herbstzauber fair can combine their visit with a trip to Rammenau Castle, Bischofswerda, or the gingerbread town of Pulsnitz.
Three days of atmospheric autumn fair in the illuminated castle park with curated exhibitors and a dense supporting program. Daily show times for the bird of prey shows (daily 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM), the chainsaw artists, and the dog training will be announced on-site.
