LebensArt in the Palace Park — The Summer Edition
The LebensArt fairs are a nationwide series of atmospheric lifestyle events held in palace parks and country estates. Großharthau in the Bautzen district, located on the Upper Lusatian Palaces and Castles Route between Pulsnitz and Bischofswerda, has been one of the most sought-after dates in the Saxon early summer and autumn for years. From June 19th to 21st, 2026, LebensArt will open its summer edition in the Großharthau palace park.
Exhibitors and Assortment
Around a hundred carefully curated exhibitors present their assortments: antiques, home accessories, garden furniture and decorations, Mediterranean and native plants, jewelry, fashion, artisan foods, and delicacies. The fair consciously focuses on a mix of upscale lifestyle and affordable charm—not a luxury market, but also not a weekly market.
Accompanying Program: Gondolas, Alpacas, and Stilt Walkers
A LebensArt is more than an outdoor market. Stilt walkers move between the stalls in the palace park, an alpaca enclosure attracts families, and the palace pond offers gondola rides in a romantic setting. Workshops on jewelry making, candle art, and drying wreath making invite participation. A dog training demonstration and barbecue demonstrations complement the program. Jazz music accompanies visitors in the palace park atmosphere. Childcare with face painting and crafts provides relief for parents.
Großharthau and the Upper Lusatian Palace Landscape
Großharthau is a small municipality in the Bautzen district, at the transition between West and Upper Lusatia. Großharthau Palace is one of many noble residences along the Palaces Route—Baroque, with a sprawling English garden and old trees. Visitors to LebensArt can combine their visit with a trip to Rammenau Palace, Bischofswerda, or the gingerbread town of Pulsnitz.
