A Lebach Tradition
The Kirmes Lebach is the largest funfair in the small town of Lebach in the Saarlouis district. Showman wagons arrive, carousels are set up on the Lebach festival grounds, and for several days the town is in a state of excitement.
What awaits you
Classic folk festival program: Rides of all sizes, from the chain carousel for the little ones to the Ferris wheel and roller coaster, showman stalls with shooting galleries and lottery stalls, sweet stalls with candied almonds, gingerbread, and cotton candy, plus food stalls with bratwurst, fries, and pizza. In the evening, live music is offered on stage or in the festival tent - usually regional bands from Saarland.
Lebach in the Lebach Kettle
Lebach lies in the so-called Lebach Kettle, a geological depression in northern Saarland between Saarlouis and Saarbrücken. The town, with just under 20,000 inhabitants, is a hub for several federal highways and railway lines - so getting to the Kirmes is unproblematic.

The charm of this Kirmes lies in its diversity: grandparents sit with their grandchildren on the carousel horse, teenagers meet at the bumper cars, young families eat bratwurst in the festival tent. Saarland folk festival atmosphere in a medium-sized town - neither too touristy nor too provincial.

Getting there
By car via the A8 or the B268. Large festival grounds with parking facilities in the surrounding area. By train to Lebach (lines from Saarbrücken and Trier), from there a few minutes' walk to the festival grounds.

Weekend and Family Day (usually Monday) - often with reduced carousel prices then.
Tip
The center of Lebach is within walking distance of the festival grounds, with many restaurants and cafés on Bahnhofstraße.
