Music and Art in the Heart of the City
The Mitanand Open Air transforms Vilsbiburg's town square into an open festival stage. The music and art festival organized by Kulturforum Vilsbiburg e.V. has established itself as a firm fixture in the city's cultural calendar, standing for encounters, diversity, and conviviality – in the spirit of its name.
Three Days of Live Music with Free Admission
Regional and national artists from rock, pop, singer-songwriter, and world music genres perform over three days. Admission to all concerts is free, making the festival an accessible cultural event for a broad audience.
Art and Family Program
The music program is complemented by an accompanying art exhibition and activities for children, as well as a family program. Thus, Mitanand combines various art forms and generations for a communal festival weekend in the heart of Vilsbiburg.
Mitanand — edition 2026
From May 22 to 24, 2026, Kulturforum Vilsbiburg invites you to the Mitanand Open Air on the town square. On Friday, T.G. Copperfield Acoustic Trio and Suzan Köcher's Suprafon will perform, on Saturday, The Bakery Brothers, Liard Creek, the Ellis Mano Band, and Totus Gaudeo among others, and on Sunday, Justina Lee Brown, Malva + Band, Enzian, and Backgroundjoys, complemented by children's activities and a folk dance group from Buja. Sepp Kreileder's art exhibition can be viewed on May 23 and 24 from 11 am to 6 pm in the VHS hall. Admission to all concerts is free.
