Endenich — Bonn's Left-Rhine Character District

Endenich has long been a preferred residential area for students of the University of Bonn and for cultural creators: Robert Schumann once lived here in the Endenich sanatorium, the famous concert-café-restaurant Harmonie is located here, and small stages like the Pantheon Theaterzelt are also here. Neighborhood festivals have a special quality here — they are less touristy than events in Bonn's city center, but more relaxed and collegial.

Program of the Kirmes

The Kirmes and Dorffest Endenich takes place on Magdalenenplatz, the central square of the district. The organizers are the Ortsausschuss Bonn-Endenich (Local Committee Bonn-Endenich) in cooperation with LuPe-Events, a local event agency. The volunteer-run program is offered over three days:

• Live Stage Program — Bands from the Bonn region, cover bands, sometimes open mic slots
• Children's Program — Carousels, bouncy castles, face painting, game stations
• Culinary Delights — Bratwurst, Reibekuchen (potato pancakes), Crêpes, cocktail stand, and vegan options
• Carousels and Game Booths — Smaller rides for children and teenagers

When and How

The festival runs from Friday, July 17th, to Sunday, July 19th, 2026. Friday and Saturday feature longer stage programs in the evening, while Sunday is more family-oriented with a morning pint and children's program in the afternoon.

Endenich complements this map with a charmingly modest format supported by volunteers. The Kirmes Endenich is officially listed in the Bonn event calendar for 2026 — a recognition of local tradition.
