An entire city center becomes a stage

The Kirchheimer Musiknacht is one of the most successful multi-venue festivals in Southern Germany. Every year at the end of May, the historic old town of the district capital at the foot of the Swabian Jura transforms into a huge event space. With a single wristband, you can access all participating locations — and there will be around 35 again in 2026. Bars, cafés, backyards, bookstores, churches, restaurants, galleries — anyone with open eyes will discover a side of Kirchheim's city center they didn't know before.

50+ Bands in 35 Locations

More than 50 bands and DJs will perform throughout the evening. The genre spectrum is deliberately kept broad: Rock and Pop, Soul, Latin, electronic music, acoustic sets, singer-songwriters, cover bands. There are loud locations, quiet locations, dancing locations, and focused locations. This diversity — combined with the dense network of streets in the old town — is the real appeal of the music night: in fifteen minutes, you can switch from a blues bar to an electronic lounge.

27th Edition on May 30, 2026

The 2026 edition is the 27th and will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, starting in the early evening. The exact band lineup is traditionally published a few weeks before the event, as is the assignment of bands to locations and the map of all 35 venues. Kirchheim unter Teck — at the foot of the Swabian Jura

Kirchheim unter Teck is the district capital of the Esslingen district, in the state of Baden-Württemberg, with around 40,000 inhabitants. The town lies at the foot of the Swabian Jura, in the shadow of Teck Castle. Its dense half-timbered old town with its market square, castle, town hall, and narrow alleys is the ideal stage for a music night. You can reach Kirchheim directly from Stuttgart via the S-Bahn line S 1.
