Kino am Rang is a popular open-air cinema in Freising's city center. The venue is the central Rang square in the heart of Freising, which is transformed for nine days into a large outdoor screen stage with seating, catering, and a lounge area.

Grill & Chill Before the Film

A special feature is the "Grill & Chill" concept for the pre-evening: The gates open at 7:00 PM, and guests can enjoy food, have an aperitif, and settle in a relaxed atmosphere before the film starts. The films begin around 10:00 PM – as soon as it's dark enough for the screen projection.

The film selection changes daily and caters to a broad audience: current mainstream films, festival favorites, classics, and locally rooted cinema productions are frequently featured.
