Overview

Already in 2025, Kino am Rang in Freising attracted film and summer evening lovers to the city center. Nine festival evenings with Grill & Chill and screen projection were among the most popular summer events in the cathedral city.

The 2025 edition of Kino am Rang followed the proven concept: nine festival evenings with admission at 7:00 PM, Grill & Chill as the pre-evening program, and film start around 10:00 PM as darkness increased. The film program changed daily, with a mix of mainstream hits and festival favorites.

As in subsequent years, the open-air cinema was part of Freising's other summer events – Korbiniansfest, Freising Volksfest, and the Uferlos Festival. The Initiative Innenstadt Freising organized the festival as a contribution to revitalizing the city center.
