Kindersafari Ahrenviölfeld

A children's outing from the village's club life

The Kindersafari Ahrenviölfeld is part of the municipality's annual event calendar and is one of the few festival formats explicitly designed for the village's children. Organized by the municipality of Ahrenviölfeld — with the support of local clubs — the event offers a colorful hands-on program around the community center on a Saturday morning in May.

Program structure

The Kindersafari starts at 10:00 AM at the community center, the hub of village life. From there, a station-based course leads the children through the village and its surroundings — with games, discovery tasks, and small activities at several stations. For the children, it's a morning full of movement, stories, and encounters with other village children; for parents and volunteers, it's an opportunity to get to know the younger generation of the village better.

Ahrenviölfeld in North Frisia

Ahrenviölfeld is a small village in eastern North Frisia, located east of Husum and north of Schwesing. The village belongs to the Amt Viöl and lies on the Schleswig Geest plateau. With only a few hundred inhabitants, Ahrenviölfeld is typical of the small Geest villages in North Frisia — with a community center, volunteer fire department, vibrant club life, and a dense network of community events. The Kindersafari is one of them and thus represents the voluntary festival culture that characterizes many of these villages.
