Getting There

By car via the B201 (Husum–Flensburg), exit Viöl. Parking as indicated on the festival grounds. By train to Husum (Regional Express from Hamburg / Kiel / Sylt), then bus 1041 to Viöl (approx. 25 min).

Celebrating for a Good Cause

The motto "Celebrating for a Good Cause" concisely describes the core of the Wiesenfete: The non-profit association Wiesenspektakel Viöl e.V. organizes the festival on a voluntary basis, with all profits flowing into social or community projects in the municipality of Viöl — playground renovations, club grants, youth projects. What started as a small idea from the village in 2017 has become one of the most popular summer festivals in the district of Nordfriesland.

One Meadow, One Marquee, One Evening

The venue is a fenced-off meadow around the Dörpsplatz Viöl. In the large marquee, cover bands, local rock formations, and DJs alternate — the program ranges from beats and Schlager to rock classics and even Hardstyle in the late hours. In front of the marquee, there is an open meadow area for relaxing, food trucks offering pizza, burgers, and döner, along with fairly priced drinks at the association's bars. The atmosphere is familiar: many guests know each other from the town and surrounding communities, with an audience ranging from teens to generations who have been attending since the first event.

Association and Volunteer Team

Wiesenspektakel Viöl e.V. (District Court Flensburg VR 2933 FL) is managed by Christopher Schneising; the organization team consists of around 20 helpers who plan throughout the year and handle setup, teardown, bar service, security, and waste disposal on the festival day. Sponsors from regional crafts and trade ensure pre-financing — allowing the entrance fee to go entirely to the charitable cause.

Viöl and the District of Nordfriesland

Viöl is located in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, in the western part of the Nordfriesland district — almost halfway between Husum and Flensburg. The Wiesenfete is part of the region's busy summer calendar (farmers' market, church festival, riding tournament), but as a pure music party with a charity focus, it holds a special role.
