Four days of experience in the historic Hofgarten Öhringen — enjoyment, arts and crafts, fashion, and family with the motto “Enjoy with all senses"
The former „Hohenloher Genießerdorf" was an established format in the Hohenlohe region for over two decades — a mix of garden market, enjoyment show, and experience exhibition. In 2026, it becomes the Hohenloher PARK Erlebnis: same basic concept, new name, sharper profile. The city of Öhringen is organizing the event in the historic Hofgarten — one of Württemberg's most beautiful palace gardens, laid out in the 18th century around Öhringen Castle, which now serves as the city administration headquarters.
Thursday (Baroque Day) kicks off with Baroque music, costumed performers, still life scenes, and a journey back in time to Hohenlohe aristocracy. Friday (Picnic in White) is inspired by the French Diner en Blanc — those who come dressed entirely in white get free admission. Guests bring white tablecloths, picnic baskets, and champagne. Saturday (Cooking Stage by the Lake) focuses on culinary delights: show cooking with regional chefs, tastings, international cuisine demonstrations. Sunday (Family Day) offers face painting, a petting zoo, craft activities, and live entertainment for all ages.
The exhibitor stands focus on four areas: Arts and Crafts (ceramics, glass, wood, textiles), Fashion (regional labels, handmade jewelry, accessories), Home & Garden (furniture, plants, garden decoration, outdoor living), Culinary (specialties, wines, chocolates, cheese dairies). Throughout the day, small musical acts and performance interludes take place in the Hofgarten — no big stage, but distributed mini-performances.
With just under 25,000 inhabitants, Öhringen is the largest town in the Hohenlohe district (Baden-Württemberg) — an elegant small town with a historic center, collegiate church, castle, and Hofgarten. The Hohenlohe region stands for high-quality agriculture (Hohenloher Schwäbisch-Hällisches Schwein, wine from the Kocher and Jagst valleys), industry (Würth, Bürkert), and a dense club life. The PARK Erlebnis in the Hofgarten is one of the city's most important spring events.
2026 marks the first edition under the new festival name Hohenloher PARK Erlebnis. The city of Öhringen has revised the concept of the former Genießerdorf to focus more on the experience aspect and thematic structure. The result: four clearly profiled days instead of a monothematic market.
The historic Hofgarten — laid out in 1715 based on the French model, later expanded in English style — is the ideal stage for this. You stroll among linden trees, past the castle moat and the lake, past exhibitor stands and performance islands. The atmosphere is sophisticated, yet not stiff: upscale casual rather than premium pose.
Day ticket €5, four-day ticket €10, children under 14 free. Friday (Picnic in White): free admission for those dressed entirely in white. Food and drinks at the stands at usual event market prices.
By train to Öhringen Bahnhof (Heilbronn–Schwäbisch Hall line), 10 min. walk to the Hofgarten. By car via the A 6 (Öhringen exit). Parking available at the castle and in the city center parking garages.
