About Hoffest Pfefferle
Hoffest Pfefferle — edition 2026
Three Days of Winery Experience
The 2026 Hoffest at Weingut Reiner Pfefferle opens the courtyards of the family business in Sulzfeld from Friday, May 29th to Sunday, May 31st, 2026. The family personally serves their wines, offers cellar tours, and presents the new vintage.
The farm kitchen prepares Swabian-Franconian specialties — Linsen mit Spätzle (lentils with Spätzle), Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli), and Flammkuchen (flatbread pizza) from the wood-fired oven. Seating areas are created in the courtyards with fairy lights and wooden tables — enjoy wine, food, and conversations with the vintners in a relaxed atmosphere.

Family Winery in the Kraichgau
The Reiner Pfefferle winery is located in Sulzfeld on Ochsenburger Straße – a district of Kraichgau, nominally part of the municipality of Kraichtal, but geographically directly connected to Eppingen. The family winery cultivates around twelve hectares of vineyards on the slopes around Sulzfeld and Ochsenburg, one of the warmest locations in northern Württemberg. The Hoffest is one of the few opportunities in the year to get to know the winery, its courtyards, and the family personally.
Kraichgau Wines from the Winery
The focus is on the house's range of varietals: Lemberger as the regional star, robust Schwarzriesling, smooth Spätburgunder, along with mineralic Riesling and creamy Grauburgunder. The winery also produces its own sparkling wines and brandies. Tastings with the vintner are offered in the courtyard, along with bottles to take home at winery prices – a direct marketing relationship that makes the summer festival a classic Hoffest variant.
Farm Kitchen and Atmosphere
The family farm kitchen offers Swabian-Franconian specialties: Linsen mit Spätzle (lentils with Spätzle), Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli), Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast beef), Flammkuchen (flatbread pizza) from the wood-fired oven, Wurstsalat (sausage salad), and sweet desserts. The courtyards of the historic winery are decorated with tables and fairy lights, creating a familiar and intimate atmosphere. Those looking for a quiet alternative to the region's large wine festivals (Heilbronner Weindorf, Weinflair Gundelsheim) will find it here.
