Summery courtyard festival of Weingut Neder in the enjoyment village of Ramsthal on the Saale
The HOF.WEIN.FEST is the big summer courtyard festival of Weingut Neder in the Bad Kissingen district, in the market town of Ramsthal – one of Bavaria's officially awarded »Genussorte« (enjoyment villages). For four days, the vineyard at Urbanusweg 9 transforms into a small festival site with wooden benches, fairy lights, and a stage where live bands play every evening. The motto »Eat. Drink. Relax. Celebrate.« aptly describes the concept: not a big Volksfest (people's festival), but a sophisticated wine festival right among the vines.
Weingut Neder has been family-owned for generations. Around twelve hectares produce mainly Franconian-dry wines: Silvaner as the undisputed flagship of the region, along with Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Riesling, as well as profound Spätburgunder and Domina. At the HOF.WEIN.FEST, guests can taste the full spectrum of the range served openly – from the typical Bocksbeutel bottle or by the glass (Schoppen).
Every festival evening (Friday, Saturday, Monday) a live band provides the atmosphere; Saturday evening is traditionally the big wine party with bands like George and the Cloonys, who already made the winery a lively dance floor in 2025. On Sunday, the festival takes a step back: a refined lunch menu and in the afternoon, coffee with homemade cake. For years, the catering has been provided by Gasthof Wahler from the neighboring village with Franconian specialties – Schäuferla (pork shoulder), Bratwurst (sausage), Saumagen (stuffed pig's stomach), sausage platters, and salads.
The market town of Ramsthal, with around 1,200 inhabitants, is nestled between vineyards and river meadows in the southern part of the Bad Kissingen district, in Unterfranken (Lower Franconia). The Saale bend with its mild climate is one of Germany's northernmost wine-growing regions. The »Genussort Bayern« label underscores the regional identity: wine, Franconian cuisine, and landscape in close proximity.
The charm of the HOF.WEIN.FEST lies in its down-to-earth nature. No admission is charged here, no one needs to reserve – whoever finds a seat sits down, orders a Schoppen of Silvaner, and lets the summer evening fade away in the vineyards. Those who want to experience Franconian wine authentically, far from large festival tents, will find it here.
From August 28th to 31st, 2026, Weingut Neder at Urbanusweg 9 in Ramsthal will open its doors for the big summer courtyard festival. For four days, the vineyard will transform into a Franconian festival site with live bands, Schoppen (0.5L glasses of wine), Bocksbeutel bottles, and cuisine from Gasthof Wahler.
The festival opens on Friday evening, followed by the traditional wine party on Saturday, the more relaxed Sunday with a lunch menu and coffee and cake, and the relaxed conclusion of the festival on Monday evening. Admission is free.
