Franconian wine festival in the enjoyment town of Ramsthal an der Saale
The Tage der Winzer at Weingut Neder in Ramsthal are among the fixed spring dates in the Franconian wine calendar. The enjoyment town of Ramsthal is located in the district of Bad Kissingen in Lower Franconia (state of Bavaria) and is part of the Franconia Saalestück wine-growing region, one of Germany's northernmost wine regions on the Fränkische Saale river.
Over two days, Weingut Neder presents its dry Franconian wines in its own wine garden. A large selection of wines as well as hot and cold dishes are offered in a relaxed atmosphere. The family-run winery opens its facilities and provides insights into the work of a Franconian wine-growing business.
On Saturday afternoon, a guided vineyard hike lasting about one and a half hours starts, with two wine tastings along the way. From early evening, the wine garden transforms into a convivial festival stage: the wine party features live music until late into the night.
The event is embedded in the regional campaign Tage der Winzer in Frankens Saalestück, during which several wineries in the region host festivals simultaneously. Visitors can thus get to know different wineries and their wines over a weekend and discover the wine country on the Saale river.
Ramsthal holds the Bavarian designation "Genussort" (enjoyment town) and stands for down-to-earth Franconian wine culture. The Tage der Winzer combine oenology, landscape, and conviviality into a typical Lower Franconian experience.
The 2026 edition of the Tage der Winzer at Weingut Neder runs on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 3 PM to midnight each day. A wide selection of dry Franconian wines and hot and cold dishes will be offered in the wine garden.
Program highlights: On Saturday at 4 PM, an approximately one-and-a-half-hour vineyard hike through the slopes begins, with two wines tasted along the way (contribution to expenses approx. 10 Euros per person). From 6 PM, the wine party with live music by the band George and the Cloonys commences. The event is part of the Tage der Winzer campaign in Frankens Saalestück. Admission is free.
