15 Years of Fun Run — and 125 Years of the Club

In 2026, the 15th Heumadener Volkslauf coincides with the 125th anniversary of TSV Heumaden — one of the oldest sports clubs in Stuttgart's Sillenbuch district. TSV is celebrating both events with a particularly festive program: the traditional fun run on Sunday morning and the grand Family Sports Festival in the afternoon. This double celebration makes the 2026 event one of the biggest sporting dates in southern Stuttgart.

Three Route Distances for All Levels

The fun run's route selection suits both hobby runners and ambitious half-marathon runners:

• 5.5 km — the classic fun run, suitable for beginners and families
• 10.3 km — two laps of the 5.5 km route; a water station at the route point
• Sanwald Half Marathon (21.1 km) — four laps of the 5.5 km route; for ambitious runners in the region. The half marathon has been part of the program since the 8th edition in 2018

Route Description — Flat Through Three Districts

The route is a long, relatively flat circuit with only a few inclines — pleasant for runners of all levels. It leads through:

• Heumaden — start and finish location in the Sportpark Untere Hasenwedel
• Riedenberg — southern district quarter
• Kemnat — district of Ostfildern, directly bordering to the south

The route is among the more beautiful running courses in southern Stuttgart — no spectacular climbs, but varied scenery and good signage. Water stations are at the turning points and lap changes.

Family Sports Festival from 11:30 AM

After the last runners cross the finish line, the TSV Heumaden Family Sports Festival begins at 11:30 AM — a program item that has been a firm fixture since the first fun run edition in 2009. Program items:

• Club Demonstrations — gymnastics, table tennis, football, aerobics, senior sports — the TSV's departments showcase their activities
• Children's Games — slalom, obstacle course, skill stations
• "Hocketse" — Swabian for relaxed get-together on the grounds with catering
• Catering with grilled items, Maultaschen, fries, salads, draft beer, wine, soft drinks; coffee and homemade cake in the afternoon
• Award Ceremony for the fun run participants

Stuttgart-Heumaden — District in the Sillenbuch Borough

Heumaden, with around 13,000 inhabitants, is a district of Stuttgart's Sillenbuch borough — located southeast of the city center, on the border with Ostfildern and at the edge of the Filder plateau. With its Stadtbahn (light rail) connection (U7), Heumaden is easily accessible. The district offers a mix of residential areas, green spaces, and the characteristic Filder plateau, which allows for flat route sections for the fun run.

Registration and Entry Fee

Registration via the platforms RaceResult and Runtix, as well as directly via the TSV Heumaden website. Late registration on the day of the event is possible. Bib pickup at the Sportanlage Untere Hasenwedel from 7:30 AM. The entry fee varies depending on the distance and registration time — early bird rates are cheaper.
