Town festival on the Dorfaue — right on the eastern edge of Berlin
Schöneiche bei Berlin is located in the Oder-Spree district, directly east of the Berlin district of Friedrichshagen. With around 12,000 inhabitants and its typical garden city structure, the municipality forms an attractive place to live in the eastern Berlin suburbs. The historic center around the Dorfaue is reminiscent of its origins as a Brandenburg farming village — the connection with the "Schöneicher-Rüdersdorfer Schienenstraßenbahn" (SRS, today Tram 88) makes the municipality directly accessible from Berlin.
The Heimatfest takes place on and around the Dorfaue — the green area in the historic village center. Over three days at the end of June, the area transforms into a stage and market mile with club stands, performances, gastronomic offerings, and family programs. The municipality of Schöneiche and the city marketing team organize the festival in cooperation with local clubs and institutions.
Two highlights mark the weekend: on Saturday, the traditional Eichkaterlauf — the Schöneiche neighborhood run, open to all age groups. Registration online until June 10th. On Sunday, the flea market "Schöneicher Schätze" opens with around 20 stalls, which are allocated free of charge to residents. The stalls are allocated in advance through city marketing, with priority given to Schöneiche citizens.
Cycling is expressly recommended — Schöneiche offers sufficient parking facilities at the Storchenschule, the outdoor area near the Dorfaue. You can easily reach the municipality from Berlin with Tram 88 from Berlin-Friedrichshagen. Clubs and institutions from Schöneiche present themselves on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dorfaue — from the sports club to the church community to the volunteer fire department. Registrations for club stands, the Eichkaterlauf, and the flea market are possible until June 10th via city marketing.
From Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, 2026, the municipality of Schöneiche bei Berlin invites you to the traditional Heimatfest at the Dorfaue. For three days, the historic village center transforms into a mile of stages, markets, and festivities with club stands, sports, and flea market.
