Classic car regularity rally over 80 kilometers in the Wildeshausen region — Start on June 7, 2026, at 11:01 AM
The ADAC Oldtimer Rallye Rund um die Hünengräber is one of the traditional classic car events in western Lower Saxony. Organized by the Oldtimer-Club Delmenhorst e.V. under the umbrella of ADAC Weser-Ems, the regularity rally on Sunday, June 7, 2026, covers more than 80 kilometers through the Wildeshausen region — the historic landscape of the Wildeshauser Geest with its namesake burial mounds (Hünengräber).
The start is at 11:01 AM. New for 2026 is a discounted U-25 tariff of 75 Euros, with which the organizers aim to integrate younger participants into the classic car scene. The format is a regularity rally — victory goes not to the fastest, but to the most precise team.
The Wildeshauser Geest is one of the densest megalithic landscapes in Northern Germany. Several dozen Neolithic burial mounds (Hünengräber) are scattered around Wildeshausen — the Visbecker Braut and the Visbecker Bräutigam are among the most famous. The rally uses this landscape as a reference point and leads participants on routes that pass several of these archaeological testimonies.
Unlike classic speed rallies, a regularity rally is about precisely adhering to predetermined average speeds and time targets. The teams — usually a driver and co-driver — must calculate their driving time to hit the target time as closely as possible at the measurement points. This makes the rally a competition of route planning, concentration, and vehicle control — also suitable for older classics that should no longer be driven at full throttle.
For decades, OC Delmenhorst e.V. has been one of the most active classic car clubs in the region. With its members, it organizes rallies, regular meetups, group drives, and workshop appointments. The Rallye Rund um die Hünengräber is its annual flagship event and highlight in the club's calendar.
The event is held under the umbrella of ADAC Weser-Ems, ensuring its integration into the ADAC sports regulations and the insurance standard for participants. The route is approved, secured, and manned by marshals at important intersections.
With the new U-25 tariff of 75 Euros, the organizer is responding to the general pressing question in the classic car scene of how to attract younger people to classic motorsport. The tariff underscores the ambition to pass the event on across generations.
The 2026 edition of the ADAC Oldtimer Rallye Rund um die Hünengräber starts on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 11:01 AM. Over 80 kilometers, the regularity rally leads through the Delmenhorst – Wildeshausen region and the landscape of the Wildeshauser Geest.
New for 2026: U-25 tariff of €75. The organizer is the Oldtimer-Club Delmenhorst e.V. under the umbrella of ADAC Weser-Ems.
The route leads through the rural region around Delmenhorst and Wildeshausen — on narrow country roads, past burial mounds (Hünengräber), through small villages of the Wildeshauser Geest. The roadbook method with symbols and kilometer indications forces the teams to read the route precisely, making the rally a classic travel discipline for the classic car scene.
Points are awarded for the exact adherence to the target time at the measurement points. Deviations — driving too fast or too slow — cost points. The winners are the teams that have accumulated the lowest sum of penalty seconds over the entire route.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in spring/summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
Classics from a certain year of manufacture (usually: before 1995) and youngtimers in their own classification are permitted. Detailed classes and admission requirements as per the OC Delmenhorst announcement.
Entry fee U-25: €75. Regular tariff as per the announcement of the Oldtimer-Club Delmenhorst.
