Pre-Christmas market at the administrative building of the North Frisian Geest community
Hattstedt is a municipality with just under 2,000 inhabitants in the district of North Frisia in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, located on the Geest between Husum and Bredstedt. The community's club and cultural life is significantly supported by the Ortskulturring Hattstedt (OKR) — the annual "Hattstedt Klingt" music series and the Christmas market also fall within its purview.
The Christmas market takes place at the administrative building in Hattstedt — stalls, fairy lights, mulled wine, punch, bratwurst, pastries. Local craftspeople and clubs offer their products. The format is small, cozy, and corresponds to the typical North German Advent market tradition outside the big cities: no large event components, but rather a meeting place for the village community during Advent.
The date December 12, 2026, is listed in the official event calendar of the municipality of Hattstedt. The format follows the established North German Advent market scheme: stalls around the administrative building, mulled wine, local vendors, Christmas atmosphere.
The Ortskulturring Hattstedt (OKR) will announce the detailed program and opening hours in early December 2026.
Free admission. Food and drinks at the stalls at usual Christmas market prices.
By car via the B5 (Husum–Bredstedt), exit for Hattstedt. By train to Husum, then by bus or car (approx. 7 km).
