Fête de la Musique meets Schlossbrauerei
The Fête de la Musique is the worldwide summer music celebration founded in France in 1982 on June 21 – the summer solstice. Today, it is celebrated in over 100 countries. The Schlossbrauerei FÜRST CARL Ellingen in Middle Franconia translates the concept into its own identity: live music in the brewery's beer garden, combined with Franconian hospitality and the in-house beers.
Schlossbrauerei FÜRST CARL — A Princely Brewing Tradition
The brewery follows the tradition of the Middle Franconian Margraves and Princes. It brews according to classic Franconian recipes and operates an extensive beer garden at Ellingen Castle – a baroque residential palace of the Teutonic Order, which is now an important cultural-historical monument in Middle Franconia. The beer garden offers an exceptionally atmospheric setting in summer weather.
Musical Program
Several artists perform in the beer garden throughout the day. The spectrum typically ranges from singer-songwriters, acoustic bands, cover bands, and jazz/funk sets – deliberately accessible, more cozy background music with concert highlights, not a classic festival setting. The program will be published by the organizer closer to the date on fuerst-carl.de.
Beer Garden Atmosphere and FÜRST CARL Beers
On tap: the varieties from Schlossbrauerei FÜRST CARL – Helles, Pils, Weißbier, Dunkles, and seasonal beers. Accompanied by Franconian specialties (Bratwurst, Käsespätzle, Schäuferla, Bratl), pretzels, and cakes. The beer garden atmosphere – chestnut trees, long wooden benches, the castle as a backdrop – enhances the Middle Franconian summer identity of the evening.
Ellingen and the Middle Franconian Castle Land
Ellingen is located in the southern district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen and is famous for its baroque castle complex as the former residence of the Teutonic Order. The FÜRST CARL Schlossbrauerei combines historical identity with actively practiced beer and event culture – the Fête de la Musique is part of a whole series of brewery events (Beer Festival, Castle Courtyard Concerts, Summer Specials).
