Mettingen — Northern Münsterland

Mettingen is a municipality in the Steinfurt district in the northern Münsterland region, with around 11,500 inhabitants, it is manageable but historically exceptional as the former main town of the so-called "Tüöttenland" (trade route of travelling merchants to Holland). Today, Mettingen is known for its Draiflessen Collection museum (fashion collection of the C&A family Brenninkmeijer), the Tüöttenmuseum (Travelling Merchants Museum), a vibrant business life in the town centre, and a rich club life with its own local, shooting, and music clubs.
