Neighbourhood Festival by the Lake

When the stalls are set up at Sodenmattsee, all of Huchting celebrates. The Sodenmattseefest is the traditional neighbourhood festival in the southwest of Bremen, supported by the Kulturladen Huchting together with numerous clubs, initiatives, and residents. On Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM, the lake shore will be transformed into a lively festival ground — with free admission and right in the middle of nature.

Diversity, Music, and Participation

The programme reflects the diversity of the neighbourhood: clubs and initiatives present themselves at information stands, international cuisine offers culinary discoveries, there is live music on stage, and plenty of games and activities for children. Over 40 actors are involved in the festival, which is deliberately designed to be accessible and open to everyone — a meeting point where neighbourhood becomes tangible.

Behind the festival is the Kulturladen Huchting, which strengthens community cohesion in the district through its socio-cultural work — driven by the ambition to give voice to a more humane world.
