The Frickenhausen Wine Festival 2026 will take place from Friday, August 8th, to Monday, August 11th, on the festival grounds by the Main river. As every year, locals and guests will celebrate for four days against the backdrop of the medieval town fortifications.
The opening on Friday evening will be marked by the festive inauguration by Markgraf Babenberg, the symbolic figure of the wine community, who will also appear on Saturday evening. Sunday begins with a Frühschoppen, and on Monday evening, the festival concludes with the traditional Kesselfleischessen. The festival is organized by RV Solidarität 1921 and TSV Frickenhausen 1901.

Getting There
Frickenhausen am Main is located in the district of Würzburg, opposite Ochsenfurt. Arrive by car via the A3 (exit Kitzingen/Würzburg) and the B13. By train to Ochsenfurt, then cross the Main bridge to Frickenhausen.
Admission
An admission fee of 1 Euro is charged to cover security costs; Sunday is free admission. Wine and food are offered on-site.

The Frickenhausen Wine Festival is a fixture in the festival calendar of the Franconian wine region. The venue is the festival grounds on the Main river in Frickenhausen, one of the most beautiful wine villages in the Mainviereck. The completely preserved medieval town fortifications with gates and towers form the unmistakable backdrop for the four-day festival.
