A Festival for the Whole Region
With around 220,000 guests, the Freisinger Volksfest is one of the largest Volksfests in the Munich surrounding area. The traditional parade, the sporting supporting program, and the close connection to the region's brewing and beer culture – Freising is home to Weihenstephan, the world's oldest existing brewery – make the festival an identity-defining event for the Upper Bavarian cathedral city and the entire Freising district.
